The Ducks are Back was an immersive installation created in collaboration with Adrian Price at the Westobou Gallery in Augusta in 2023.
Since meeting in graduate school in 2006, Adrian and I have shared a dialogue based on a mutual interest in dreamspace, happy accidents and crafting alternatives to the overly logical impulses in the contemporary environment.
The piece was a multi-layered landscape defined by a sense of abundance and dreamy disorientation. This immersive space greeted viewers with a sense of discovery and expansiveness. Driven by divergent and often contradictory narratives, the piece was inspired by the persistent overlap between the real and the imaginary worlds.
